Miami-Dade County is one of the largest County governments in the southeastern United States with a $6.9 billion budget, 30,000 employees and 60 departments which serve a County population of more than 2.3 million residents and is governed by an Executive Mayor and 13 commissioners elected from single-member districts. The day-to-day operations of the government are overseen by the Executive Mayor and County Manager.
